St. Columban’s Primary School Mayfield achieves its Vision as a Catholic School by:     Modelling and sharing our belief in and love of Christ – showing Christ to others.     Reflecting to the children and others cohesion and concern for each other and for the members of our community.     Showing the children that we communicate openly with each other and respect the opinions of each other.     Being consistent and firm in our beliefs when dealing with each other, parents and with the children.     Accepting those in our care, for who they are and by being responsible and fair in our expectations of them. This applies in all members of our community. We don’t try to change then but work with them to hep them improve themselves.     Being good listeners.     Being supportive and available to the members of our community in their time of need and / or their time of challenge.     Specifically the parents – involving them in the education of their children as helpers, audience, in interviews and by being approachable, having open communication lines with them.     Value our multiculturalism.

Focus On Reading
